I was amazed to see how our days are oriented around routines. Another morning found Lennox cuddled up under the "Mama Reese" blanket.
An afternoon snack: animal crackers while watching Little Bear on Noggin...
A preschool art project, Lennox's finger painted apple core. He has been learning about fall and harvest time:
Reading:
Playing with the "Millenium Falcon" when daddy got home from work:
Some books with daddy:
A back ride into the kitchen for dinner:
Dancing in the chair after dinner. Notice the new Star Wars t-shirt:
Choosing a book before bed:
Reading a new book, one of mommy's old books, The Pokey Puppy:
Cuddled up for bed in his Spiderman sheets:
Lennox's shelf. I love this shot because there are so many little pieces of our life here.
The books are some old ones from Mark and me. Some of the toys are Mark's or mine from when we were small. The Infant of Prague and the Winnie the Pooh on the bottom shelf were mommy's. The duck was from a friend and brought to Lennox when he was born. The wooden box on the top shelf was Mama Reese's and then mommy's where I put all my little treasures when I was little. Next to that is Lennox's first Steiff bear. You can see Lennox's mouse ears from Disney and the Paddington Bear was in mommy's dorm room. The crucifix we bought while I was pregnant for his room. The little carousel on the bottom shelf was from Lennox's baby shower cake. I love how there are small pieces of everyone in our family on his shelves.
I knew we read a lot, but taking the pics on Monday made me realize just how much. I love that we are always reading together. I love our routines, the picking out of the bedtime story, reading it, cuddling before bed, eating together at the table and then having some silly time afterwards. Lennox also got a haircut today, but the camera didn't make it into the salon :-)
