One Sick Little Boy
This was a rough week for our little buddy! On Tuesday he threw up on the way to school. He had been acting odd in the car and did not even look up at the train as it passed by. (We always see a train on the way to school and Lennox loves that). Right before he got sick he said "I wanna hug my mama" and then it came. We pulled over and called daddy. Luckily, Daddy was home on vacation that week. He came over and got him. On and off all day he complained of a sick tummy, no more throwing up though. That night he had a fever and just wanted to lay on mama all night. The next day his tummy was really upset and he was eating hardly anything. He would have spurts of being ok and then other times bend over in pain or crawl onto the floor in a ball. We felt really helpless. He has never been sick like that. Finally on Thursday he was doing better and went to school on Friday. We are glad he is feeling better and able to treak or treat a little. But we are amending our plans and are staying close to home to trick or treat. Poor little dude :-(

Getting Ready
Lennox has confiscated the Toys'R'Us flyer mama got in the mail and is picking his Christmas Wish List. He reads it every day and looks through the pages talking about what he wants. So he helped me do a wish list at Toysrus.com and felt like such a big boy! Mommy is working on a December Daily album to document all the fun we have getting ready for the holidays this year.
Air Show
On Saturday we went to the Air Show at NAS. We were surprised at how chilly it was when we got there. The weather was overcast and windy. Lennox bundled up in mama's jacket until we found a warmer spot under the sun.
There was so much to see and do. The first thing we did was the bouncey rides, of course. Lennox loved this one.
Then we stood in line forever to climb this:
And then walk down :-) Lennox freaked at the top and cried to come down. I climbed all the way up to get him and couldn't get him on the slide so we walked down.
We were able to see a lot of planes up close. Lennox was a little afraid this close to the plane. We watched a few small shows and debated staying for the Blue Angels at 3pm. But, we were planning to do Spooktacular that night and knew Lennox needed a nap so we headed home.
On Sunday we decided to head back to see the Blue Angels. The crowds were crazy. We finally got into the base and onto the airfield and settled in for a show. When we got there we saw a WWI flight demo with planes in a dogfight. There were explosions and fires and Lennox loved that. This was how Lennox watched most of the show. On my neck or daddy's. Whew! He was heavy.
This little Blue Angel we had to buy for Lennox. He played with it and whooshed it all around while the real planes zoomed by. Lennox was amazed with the airplanes. So were mommy and daddy. We were glad we stuck out the crowds and did the second visit on Sunday so that we could experience it together.
Fall Festival at Citibank
Last Friday we went to the Fall Festival at Citibank. Lennox had been with my parents during the day and my dad called me to tell me that Lennox wanted to be Buzz. What??? What about Spiderman I asked. So I brought both costumes when I met up with Lennox, my parents, Lennox's cousins at Citibank with Mark. But, you can see what he picked...
I am guessing he realized it was a cooler costume. It was from last year and it still fits.
While we were there we played a lot of games. Lennox did not throw, he placed his beanbags, balls, and frisbees into the slots and holes in the games...hehehe...
He got a lot of cool prizes. Cried all the way home because he thought I had stolen one of his wings when I only handed him one when we disrobed for the car seat. He couldn't understand that it was one piece that made two wings. When we got home to take off the rest of the costume, he was soaking wet with sweat. Definitely a costume better for some crisper weather, which it looks like he may have for Halloween. Buzz is still the best contender for the costume war tomorrow. Poor Spidey :-(

Fall Bazaar
On Sunday we woke up and decided to go to my grandmother's church's Fall Bazaar. Lennox insisted on wearing this shirt:
If you can't tell, it is an Obama shirt. Lennox already knows who he is and must always call him "Barack Obama." And if you ask him who that is he will tell you "the president." Smart little boy ;-)
At the Bazaar Lennox climbed to the top of this climbing wall and slid down the other side. We were so impressed. It is such a big boy activity. We were worried he would not know how to climb or get scared at the top. But nope, he loved it and did it over and over again. I wish I could get the pic of him flying down the other side (blog issues...we may be moving this blog very soon if it continues).
Then Lennox climbed through some more bouncy house type things, we played a few games and picked out our prizes, which included a car, a bendable man, a big swirly drinking straw, a bubble toy, and a grab bag. He did pretty good at the games. Seriously had some good luck.
Then we headed back over the White Elephant Sale where we picked up the Spiderman the day before. Here are Lennox and his Gran and a lollipop won on the lollipop tree. No good finds this day at the sale :-(

Week in the Life, Day 7, Saturday, October 18, 2008
Saturday we woke up and headed to the Pumpkin Patch. Lennox and I have been talking about it a lot because we have passed it a few times. This year I have an awesome camera and a little boy who was not in a picture taking mood at the Pumpkin Patch. We ran around for awhile and while I tried to snap a few decent pics, daddy picked out a few perfect pumpkins for us to choose. Lennox helped decide on the winning one and he also got a tiny baby pumpkin. He asked if we could "cut it" all day long :-)
After the Pumpkin Patch we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch. Lennox slurped up some egg drop soup and made a mess with some LoMein.
Then we went for ice cream. Lennox ate the gummy worms that were on his ice cream and barely touched the ice cream. But, mommy and daddy chowed down on a banana split.
Then the boys played with the Spiderman we snagged at a garage sale for $1. We stopped along the way to the ice cream parlor. Spidey climbed the wall.
On the way home we decided to take a trip on the JTA Skyway. Lennox calls it the "He-Cot" because it reminds him of the monorail at Disney which he calls the He-Cot (Epcot). Lennox was super excited about the trip. We got on at Hemming Plaza and rode to the Convention Center and back.

Week in the Life, Day 6, Friday, October 17, 2008
Today Lennox's school had a family picnic day. My parents, grandmother, and Mark went early to spend time in Lennox's classroom and play with him. Then when I had lunch I ran over to picnic with them too.
At bedtime I was treated to another bedtime story from Lennox. He read "Are You My Mother" again. So perfectly and he was so excited with himself. I have to try to video it one day if he will let me :-)
Week in the Life, Day 5, Thursday, October 16, 2008
Another morning, and another trip to Burger King. I really have to buy some frozen french toast sticks to have at home. Lennox loves them.
This morning he read Toy Story on the way to school. Lennox picked out his Halloween shirt to wear today, it says "I love my mummy" with a mummy picture on it. I love our morning drives. We usually see a train on 17 in the morning. This morning we didn't see one right away and Lennox said "no choo choo today." We drove a little further and saw a train stopped on the track and Lennox said "they need to fix it." By the time we got a little further down the road and were pulling into Starbucks the train was moving and Lennox was so excited. Lennox was so in a great mood when we pulled into school and he went right to playing. I had to stop him to get a hug and kiss and that hardly every happens.
I picked up Lennox from school and snapped a few pics of his school. His bookbag,, Spiderman of course, hanging on its peg. He keeps his pillow and blanket in it for naptime.
His classroom, which is about four times as big as he old classroom. We love it!
We went back to mommy's school. Lennox ate some snacks and watched PBS while we waited for daddy to meet us.
Week in the Life Day 4, Wednesday, October 15
On Wednesday I was not so good about taking pictures. In the morning I packed Lennox's lunch, a lunchable, apples, chocolate milk, and applesauce for his morning snack. We had to stop at Burger King for breakfast, french toast sticks. It has become the easiest and quickest way to get some food in Lennox for breakfast. When I handed them back to him in the car he said "mmmm." I took a lot of pictures at school. When I picked up Lennox I had forgotten his drink cup (milk) and I had to go back to my classroom to grab it out of my fridge. When we got in my classroom he said "this is where your friends sit?" and pointed to the desks. So adorable. After school Lennox and I went straight to the doctor's office for a flu vaccine. He walked in and said he was scared and wanted to go home. He has never done that at the doctor before. It was so crowded and so hot. Luckily I kept Lennox fairly occupied in the waiting room with some books. When they called us back I literally had to drag him in, he grabbed hold of the doorway with all his might. Lots of people in the waiting room grinned and laughed while he screamed "I scared" at the top of his lungs. There was more boo-hoo's when we got back to the room, even though I told Lennox he wasn't getting a shot, it was just some medicine in his nose. I guess that didn't console him. This was the pitiful face I saw:

Week in the Life, Day 3, October 14, 2008
After school we went to Target and got these new beauties....Spiderman shoes, carried with love right out the door, the fingers did not loose their grip even to get them scanned at the checkout. Lennox held them all the way home and immediately showed them to Mark when we got home and insisted we cut the "web" (the string holding the two shoes together) so he could wear them. A little argument ensued, Lennox thinks these shoes do not require socks :-)
We went to Oma's where Lennox stayed while mommy and daddy went to dinner.
Lennox took a bath at Oma's (his request) and we had trouble wrangling him to get dressed while he watched IronMan:
Then Lennox and mama played with the mirror in the bathroom:
A little Lennox foot on the back of my car seat on the way home:
He played with his old baby toys. This is one that daddy can not get rid of because it has sentimental value. It had been in our storage unit which we recently cleaned out:
Lennox has been reading Where the Wild Things Are at school and we pulled ours out the other night, but he wouldn't let us get very far out into the story because he got a little scared of the rumpus with the monsters. So today when he saw it in his room, this is what happened to it. It was not "allowed" in the room:
After throwing down about 5 books while choosing a book....
Lennox decided on this one, Are You My Mother?
But, tonight for the first time ever Lennox read mommy the bedtime story. He did a good job. He knew what went with what page and even let mommy answer when he asked "Are you my mother?" in the story. I was so impressed:
But, when daddy came in Lennox got shy and mommy ended up reading the story to Lennox and daddy before bed:
