Pumpkin Carving!

The Friday before Halloween daddy and Lennox went to a Halloween party at Karate. Lennox won the costume contest. He won a party for 20 people. So now we are having a Karate birthday party in June. 

The boys got home in the holiday spirit and wanted to carve the pumpkin. I had already gotten a Potato Head pumpkin head kit and was planning on just using that. But, the boys had other ideas. Lennox threw on my lion headband which was part of my costume for school that day. I was the Cowardly Lion. Lennox supervised while daddy designed the perfect face.

Then the carving began. My boys are so silly.

Lennox was all about sticking his hands into the pumpkin and helping us clean it out. 

Just as daddy began to cut the first eye, he sliced his finger open. So the carving continued with mama and Lennox while daddy bandaged up his hand. We did a pretty good job. I am not that great at carving, but each year I get better :-) Then Lennox decided we also needed the Potato Head face pieces. So we added those to the back and had a double sided decorated pumpkin :-)
