The First Game

Lennox had his first T-Ball game on October 3. We had to get up super early to be at the ball field by 8:30 for opening ceremonies. Daddy was out of town :-( But Poppy was able to come with mama to the game. Lennox is #7 on the Lake Lucina Braves. We chose his number since his birthday is June 7 and it was mama's lucky number from when she was little.

Mommy and Daddy have matching shirts that have Lennox's number on them and say "Lennox's Mom" or "Lennox's Dad." Lennox loves our matching shirts.

Little Lennox was so excited about his first game.

During Opening Ceremonies he was the model baseball player. There was a lot of standing around and pictures and Lennox was great through it all.

At 10am the game started. Lennox sported his new helmet and bat. The four year olds only play 2 innings, but it is a long two innings. The coaches try hard to make it realistic and teach them the basics and the rules of the game.

When it was Lennox's turn to bat he waited patiently in the batter's circle.

The first two pitches are without the tee. Then they bring out the tee. Most of the kids couldn't hit without the tee, but at least they all got some practice. There is no score either and both teams root for each other which is great.

Lennox hit the ball with the tee and ran like crazy to first base. He was proud as you can tell by this picture.

Here is the second time he was up to bat.

Lennox did pretty good when he was out in the field. Pretty hard to stay alert when you are four years old and there is lots to watch though. Overall a great first game. Lennox's season lasts through November 14.
