Party like a 3 Year Old!

Lennox had a big huge surprise filled birthday yesterday. On Friday night Mark and I stayed up until 1am putting together this giant surprise. Mark and I went in with my parents, his parents, and my grandmother to get Lennox a wooden Thomas the Train railway set. It was an engineering feat. Mark wanted it perfect and thought Lennox would be annoyed by tracks that ended and did not go anywhere so we toiled with it for hours and now it loops around under and over.

We got Lennox up on his birthday and brought him downstairs and he screamed "Thomas the Train" and ran over to it. Would not eat breakfast or have a cup of milk, he was so engrossed. We were lucky to get him dressed and out the door to his party.

Every day this last week Lennox woke up saying "my party's coming." When we got to Kids Kampus for his party he was crazy excited, running around like a madman in the water all by himself while we set up the table and waited for his guests to come. All the decorations and the cake were Mickey Mouse of course. Lennox played so hard in the water with his cousins. He stopped just long enough to eat some chips and cake and open presents. Then he ran around the park area some more before splashing in the water one last time. We all had so much fun and the weather was decent with a breeze from the river so we didn't fry outside. After the party, everyone came over to our house to see the train set. Lennox played some more and then we all laid down for a much needed nap.

When we woke up we all watched The Bee Movie which Lennox got from Mark's sister. Then we headed to McDonald's for Lennox's birthday dinner. He wanted chicken nuggets :-) After that we went to the Friendship Fountain and caught the water taxi to the landing where we got birthday cake ice cream. (Mommy's camera battery died before we hit the water unfortunately).

By the time Lennox crashed at 10pm he was beat and so were mommy and daddy but it was such a perfect day for our big boy. And it turns out our train set investment was a wise one. Lennox ran directly from our stairs when he woke up this morning to the train and has been playing on it all day long :-) And I can see mommy and daddy getting a little obsessed with it too. There are so many cool sets and accessories we could add to it :-)

Three years ago!

Three years ago tomorrow my sweet little Lennox made his entrance into this world. Today he went to school with a box of cupcakes to share with his classmates and he was so excited. He and I were walking out the front door and he said "I so happy" It was the sweetest moment. I can not wait to pick him up and find out what happened with the cupcakes. Tonight we are getting ready for his big party. Now I remember why I always have the party somewhere like Chuck E. Cheese so that they can take care of anything. I have been running around all week. Next year, we are going to Tunnelz and Tumblez...lol..

Big pics tomorrow or Sunday with all his birthday fun...until then...here is my little angel on day 1, June 7, 2005 at 11:14 am....

More Disney Baby (sorry Big Boy)

This weekend we took a trip to Disney. Our passes are not good over the summer so this was the last weekend we could go until August. Saturday we rode the new Toy Story Mania ride at Hollywood Studios and saw the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. Lennox was in awe at the show. It was very interactive. We sat on the floor and sang and danced with his favorite Playhouse Disney chracters. Then that evening we went to Epcot for desert in France and the fireworks. For the first time ever Lennox was a little scared of the fireworks. On Sunday we went to Magic Kingdom. After our first ride, the Haunted Mansion, we were greeted by some Disney people handing out free Fast passes for the Year of a Million Dreams so we got Fast Passes for all the rides. So cool. We were so excited. So we hit every ride we could today. Lennox was super goofy at the park, playing peek-a-boo in his stroller while we waited for daddy on Thunder Mountain and running around in the water mister. We had some of the best popsicles ever to help us ward off the 90 degree heat. We left completely pooped and actually ready for a little Disney breather, but we already have plans to go to the Not-So-Scary Halloween at Magic Kingdom in October. Lennox has told us he wants to be Peter Pan :-)
As you can probably notice he still is a little banged up from his accident. The dermabond has not worn off. He had two layers on so we are thinking that is why it is taking so long to come off. Hopefully it will be off by Saturday when we celebrate Lennox's third birthday. We can not believe that three years ago today he was not here yet and Mommy was laying around on bedrest trying to keep him tucked in. Lennox decided to have a Mickey Mouse party, what else could we expect from our Disney baby. We had Mickey invites and we have plates and napkins and balloons all set for his party. He talks about it everyday. Tonight before bed he said "my party's coming." We have a big huge huge surprise for our Bugga-Boo for his birthday and can not wait to see his reaction. Happy summer everyone!

Celebrating Gran!

Lennox's great-grandmother turned 80 this last week and we celebrated with all our friends and family at a restaurant in Palm Coast. Lennox got to meet a lot of people he had never met too. Right outside of the party room was a playground and Lennox and his cousins were able to play while we partied inside. He loves his cousin Holly and she adores him. It is so sweet to see the two of them together. Lennox was a big help to Gran opening her presents and blowing out "candles." He saved the day by offering his crayons as candles, since my mom had forgotten to bring them. By the end of the day he was tuckered out. He crashed not long after we drove out of the parking lot.
