Treats!

What better way to cheer up the sick baby than with a trip to Starbucks for a "coffee." Lennox is absolutely mama's boy asking for that. It is actually a blended creme based drink, no caffeine, but lots of fun and he thinks he is a big boy.

Big Boo-Boo's

This morning Lennox had his first real accident. While running around at Oma and Opa's he fell and his his cheek. It wouldn't stop bleeding and so they rushed him to the Emergency Room and mommy and daddy followed. When I got there, there was blood all down my little buddy's shirt. He was in good spirits though. The doctor said he could do stitches or dermabond over the puncture, which is about a half an inch. We decided to do the dermabond because Lennox was not at all happy with the doctor looking at him the first time and we figured stitches would not be a good idea. So the doctor fixed him up with that. And we promised lots and lots of treats when we finished. It was a long day in the hospital. He took a long long four hour nap when he got home. Poor little buddy will be out of school this week. The dermabond is strong but he can't mess with it or fall, etc. so we want to keep a close eye on him. I guess this is the beginning of many scars. Lennox is all boy, but it still makes us sad :-(

Shrimp, pirates, and monies!

We went to Shrimp Festival in Fernandina Beach this weekend. We got there early before the heat hit and Lennox was really into seeing the pirate ships and spent the morning doing "arrr's." Down by the marina a real pirate gave him some "monies" and a necklace which he proudly carried all morning. Then we ate some shrimp by the railroad track and bought a little souvenir pirate hat, of course.
