Our Little Graduate

Today Lennox graduated from Mom and Tot Level 2 Swimming Lessons. He has taken a full month of lessons, twice a week. He has learned so much. He can climb out, hold himself up on the wall, move across the wall to the stairs, swim to the wall underwater, pick up toys off the stairs by putting his face in the water, swim from one person to another (a short distance), and almost lay on his back. Our only problem is that he is so independent and wants to do it all by himself. His teacher Ms. Tanya was wonderful and we are hoping we will be able to continue his lessons next year. We would love to take more classes in July and August, but between our vacation to the mountains and a week of training mommy has to do, we can't. But, we will still be practicing in the pool at Mark's family's condo :-) The pics above are Lennox at the pool (he would not look at the camera) and Lennox with his swim teacher Ms. Tanya.
He has been such a sweet baby lately, even more than usual. He now is constantly saying "I love you" to everyone. He will climb in your lap and snuggle. Yesterday he grabbed my cheeks and kissed on me forever. It was so sweet. One day he will not want to cuddle with mommy and daddy and it will be so sad, so you better believe I am savoring it all.

Only two weeks until we go to the mountains. We can not wait to see how Lennox reacts to all of it.

Water Baby

Lennox is doing so well in his swimming class. His teacher says he can move on to the next level. Yesterday he went underwater more times than I can count, and once he even blew bubbles when he went under which shows he is learning. Lennox also reaches for the wall and can move himself along the wall, as well as kicking and the beginnings of moving his arms! He is also finally crawling out of the pool. We have decided to keep him in the program for another two weeks at least, since he is doing so well and we don't want to loose momentum. At home, we have not been able to use his new pool as much as we would like with all the rain. The pics above are of his first day in the pool on his birthday!

MC Hammer Dance Moves

Two posts in one day... wow! But, I had to put these adorable pics up. Most of you know that Lennox is a dancing fool. His teachers say sometimes "it just can't be caged." He dances even when there is no music. Well... we discovered that he really liked MC Hammer in the car one day. So Mark being Mark immediately bought a CD for him on EBay. We got it tonight and Lennox, Mark, and I went to town, dancing in our dining room. Too cute!

Summer Fun

My baby boy is officially two! We had a great birthday with Lennox. We went to coffee morning with some friends and their little ones, then lunch with daddy at Lennox's favorite place, McDonalds. We then went to Toys'R'Us and got Lennox a plastic swimming pool with a slide. When he woke up from his nap it was ready to splash in. We went to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and playing. Lennox danced all over the place. Then we went to Regency Mall to take a ride on the train. Now I am just holding my breath for the terrible twos :-(

Lennox started swimming lessons last week. It is a mom and tot class. Lennox is doing awesome. He is such a water baby. On day two he was going underwater. He is kicking and putting his arms out and everything. I am so proud of him. We can't get him to practice climbing out of the pool though. He always wants to stay in :-) We have spent the last week of summer break going on playdates and lunch dates with friends and family. Lennox is a cuddle bum in the morning when he first wakes up. We watch Little Einsteins and Sesame Street and cuddle on the couch. I am loving having this time with him.

Above is a pic of Lennox's crazy morning hair :-) Hope you can see the mohawk he has going :-)

Birthday Boy!

We celebrated Lennox's 2nd birthday on Saturday with a bash at Chuck E. Cheese. This year Lennox was so excited about his birthday and he had so much fun opening presents and eating cake. He was still a little unsure of Chuck E. Cheese, but he loved to watch him. He just was not so sure about getting up close to him! Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate. Tomorrow is Lennox's actual birthday and we are planning a lunch out with Daddy and dinner at Chuck E. Cheese (we have tokens left from the party!).
